Inu-yari running along the exterior walls is one of the most distinctive features of Kyoto machiya.
Traditionally, it was used to protect the exterior walls from mud stains and dog urine, but
It is now used as decoration.
In this project, a 10m-long Inu-yari was installed on a slope.
Since Kyoto has many slopes, Inu-yari are made to fit the slopes.
